Yoga + Brunch Club

Looking for English yoga in Busan that feels welcoming, social, and easy to join?

Once a month, we gather at The Nest to move together, breathe together, and connect with others who are looking for something simple: community, ease, and something to delight the senses.

We start with a fun, energizing yoga flow—no experience needed, no pressure to get it “right.” Whether you’re brand new to yoga or already practicing, this is a space to move your body and feel good doing it.

Then we blend.

Fresh brunch, great conversation, and a space that feels natural to stay in. Come for the movement, stay for the people. This is community yoga in Busan designed for wellness in all dimensions.

At Kaizen, we believe practice extends beyond the mat.

“Better Together” isn’t just a phrase—it’s how we build community. This monthly gathering brings people together through movement, shared experience, and a curiosity for new flavors and connections.

Yoga for Back Pain

Yoga for Back Pain

Yoga for Back Pain | Tuesdays 730pm

Level: ALL

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Description: This class is designed to relieve back pain by digging into the source rather than continually trying to mask the symptom. I don’t know who needs to hear this but a screaming low back usually isn’t a low back problem- it’s the symptom of tight hips and upper back restriction.
Here’s the other bad news- the symptoms go beyond pain in your low back to impacting your ability to breathe and properly digest. It’s never just a it’s own thing- your body is an amazingly synergistic system.

This is not a class for contortion- rather it is about rebuilding better spinal mechanics destroyed by staring at a smart phone, skipping that post-run stretch again and again and not knowing if that instagram tutorial is gold or garbage.

More than movement, come learn the hows and whys of what hurts and get real answers on how to make it better. If you’re sick of hearing, “It’s inflammation; just rest.” you belong here.

This class is not gentle, rebuilding takes work. But everything is doable when broken down into doable pieces.

  • Benefits: Reduce back pain and tension, freedom of movement in your neck without electricity running down to your fingers, a better capacity to breathe, a better understanding of spinal movement best practices and renewed confidence and optimism that life without chronic pain is possible.

Kaizen Method | Samanvaya Sequence (Stability + Coordination)

Strength + Coordination (Samanvaya Sequence) | Mondays 730pm

Samanvaya | Stability + Coordination
Level: ALL
Duration: 60 minutes

Description

Welcome to the Kaizen Method!

This is our foundational custom sequence—built from nearly a quarter century of personal practice, thousands of teaching hours, and just as many injuries to troubleshoot along the way.

Our Foundations Sequence is Samanvaya | Stability + Coordination.

Samanvaya is a Sanskrit word meaning “inherence”—the inseparable relationship between parts and the whole. Your body isn’t a collection of isolated pieces. It’s an interdependent system. When one part isn’t working well, the effects don’t stay local—they show up everywhere.

This sequence focuses on two primary anchors: the pelvis and the shoulder girdle. Instead of chasing symptoms—massaging a tight neck or endlessly foam rolling sore glutes—we look at how these systems move, coordinate, and support the rest of your body. You’ll explore a range of movement patterns through active flexibility, building strength inside your range rather than forcing depth through passive stretching. This is not about getting more flexible—it’s about becoming more usable. More than movement, this class teaches you how to work with your body—so you’re not guessing what’s helping and what’s making things worse.

If you’ve been stretching, resting, or modifying without real progress—or you’re still in pain—you’re not broken. You just haven’t been given the right inputs yet.

This is where we start to change that.

🔹 Benefits

  • Improved stability and coordination across joints (especially hips and shoulders)

  • Increased active flexibility (strength you can actually use)

  • Reduced feelings of tightness, instability, and “random” discomfort

  • Better movement patterns for running, lifting, and daily life

  • A clearer understanding of what your body needs—and why
