Samanvaya | Stability + Coordination
Level: ALL
Duration: 60 minutes

Description

Welcome to the Kaizen Method!

This is our foundational custom sequence—built from nearly a quarter century of personal practice, thousands of teaching hours, and just as many injuries to troubleshoot along the way.

Our Foundations Sequence is Samanvaya | Stability + Coordination.

Samanvaya is a Sanskrit word meaning “inherence”—the inseparable relationship between parts and the whole. Your body isn’t a collection of isolated pieces. It’s an interdependent system. When one part isn’t working well, the effects don’t stay local—they show up everywhere.

This sequence focuses on two primary anchors: the pelvis and the shoulder girdle. Instead of chasing symptoms—massaging a tight neck or endlessly foam rolling sore glutes—we look at how these systems move, coordinate, and support the rest of your body. You’ll explore a range of movement patterns through active flexibility, building strength inside your range rather than forcing depth through passive stretching. This is not about getting more flexible—it’s about becoming more usable. More than movement, this class teaches you how to work with your body—so you’re not guessing what’s helping and what’s making things worse.

If you’ve been stretching, resting, or modifying without real progress—or you’re still in pain—you’re not broken. You just haven’t been given the right inputs yet.

This is where we start to change that.
